Local Law Enforcement Supports Delozier for State House

New Cumberland, PA – Four local law enforcement associations, Pennsylvania Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodges 76 and 12 along with the Pennsylvania State Troopers Lodge 41, and Pennsylvania State Corrections Officers Association (PSCOA) endorsed the Republican candidate for the 88th District House Seat, Sheryl Delozier.

“The issues facing our local police officers are close to my heart and I understand the necessity for these organizations,” said Delozier. “I take great pride in receiving these endorsements because of the great service they provide to the constituents of the 88th District.”

“Sheryl Delozier understands what Pennsylvania needs to do to make our communities safer for our families, and we look forward to working with her,” said Trooper Todd Rudy, President of FOP Lodge 41, which represents all state troopers in Central Pennsylvania.  “Her years in public service and volunteerism on behalf of victims of crime will enable her to hit the ground running for her constituents.”

A former senior staffer to Governors Ridge and Schweiker, Delozier directed the IMPACCT Commission, which led the effort to cut more than $500 million out of the cost of state government. She also has spent nearly 20 years as a crisis support volunteer for the YWCA and as a rape crisis and domestic violence counselor.

The PSCOA represents corrections officers at SCI-Camp Hill and more than 9,500 statewide.  PSCOA Vice President Roy Pinto said, “Our decision to endorse Sheryl was an easy one because she won’t be a typical freshman legislator.  Her experience and understanding of how state government works will give our members and the people of the 88th district a seasoned veteran that can step in right away and represent the interest of the 88th on the first day.”

A mother of two and wife of a police officer, Delozier and her family reside in Lower Allen Township.  In addition to her almost 16 years of service to the people of Pennsylvania, Delozier has also been a community leader and victims’ rights advocate.

The 88th District is comprised of Lower Allen, Upper Allen and Monroe townships, as well as the boroughs of New Cumberland, Lemoyne, Mechanicsburg, and Shiremanstown, along with a portion of Wormleysburg.
